Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Side Quest Energy LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the optzi! service ("optzi!," the "Service"). It applies to our customers and to visitors of our website at useoptzi.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and organization details.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe processes and stores payment details in accordance with its own policies.
- Usage data. We collect information about how you use the dashboard, such as log data, device and browser information, and feature usage, to operate and improve the Service.
- Consent records. On behalf of our customers, optzi! processes end-visitor consent choices on our customers' websites. This may include a consent identifier, the choices made, and limited technical data needed to record consent.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To communicate with you about your account, including service and support messages.
- To monitor for security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Consent data and our role
For consent records collected on our customers' websites, our customer is the controller of that data and optzi! acts as a processor on their behalf. We process this data to provide the consent-management features of the Service and do not sell it.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, payment processing, and infrastructure providers such as Stripe), under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.
- Legal and safety recipients, where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at jonesy@daveytjones.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
8. International users
We operate in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information may be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
